World-class wines, traditional local ales & beers, including our very own Crown Helles Lager & classic cocktails from our friends at Edmunds can be enjoyed at The Crown. Our ales are supplied by award-winning local brewery, Hall & Woodhouse, located in nearby Blandford Forum. Our gin range comes from local & world distilleries & our wine list is varied & growing. Our handpicked list (we’ve personally tried them all) features over twenty-five wines from around the world. We've also a carefully curated range of beers, ciders & spirits along with a choice of non-alcoholic options & softies if you aren’t on the booze.

Our relaxed pub is the perfect environment for lazy lunches, sumptuous suppers & the chance to relax after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. In the summer months the dining space extends into our sun-filled walled garden for alfresco dining on small plates shared amongst friends. Meat & game comes from West Country farms & butchers, whilst fresh herbs are picked just a few steps away in The Crown kitchen garden.
Everything we do at the Crown is evaluated through asking ourselves whether or not it’ll make people return. We are aware that our business relies on people coming in time & time again. That’s why we’re generous with our offer of wholesome portions & a chance to try something new, whilst still finding old classics & comforting pub bangers dotted throughout our menu, such as wonderful hand raised pies & our amazing Sunday roasts.
Our food is hearty, interesting & delicious; we try to keep things simple & do them well.

Breakfast Menu
For B&B Guests only. Team Crown look forward to welcoming you to breakfast in The Library. Breakfast is served between 8am-9am Monday-Friday & 8.30am-9.30am on Weekends & Bank Holidays. Please pre-order your breakfast main the preceding evening by 9pm Monday-Saturday & by 8pm on Sundays with a member of the team. In the morning, please wait to be seated by a member of our team before helping yourself to Dorset Teas, Coffee & Fresh Orange Juice
Private Functions
The Crown Inn is the perfect country escape for family get-togethers, meetings, celebrations & long lunches. The Hardy Room, a separate cosy room filled with handpicked antiques & an original range cooker, can seat up to twelve diners for intimate celebrations
The bookcase lined Library can seat up to twenty-five for something a little more formal. Whilst for more informal events speak to the team about which areas of the pub might suit you best!
We work closely with you to create menus that suit your occasion. Think sumptuous hot & cold buffets, family style dining or classic plated options. If you want to really make the most of your time with us, book one of our seven classically furnished rooms so that you don’t need to worry about the drive home.
